Why can't the game run in DX10 mode with 8xAA? Is it the same for everyone else with this card? Surely 1 GB is more than enough for this game even at 1920x1200 with 8xAA as it ran fine on my GTX 280? (I'm using the Catalyst 10. If I switch to DX9 mode then I can play the game with 8xAA on Ultra High quality with no issues at all, no stutter, no hitches, just smooth gameplay. If I switch to 4xAA then the game plays fine in DX10.

It's unplayable, basically, because of this despite the framerate hitting 60 fps much of the time. The engine takes advantage of multi-core processors as well as multiple processors and supports DirectX 9 as well as DirectX 10. Playing the game with these settings is a horrible experience too as spinning on the spot results in jittery camera movement and moving around feels utterly awful. With the HD 5870 though, the benchmark hitches constantly and the results show a minimum framerate of 0.62 fps 3eyes. With that card the game ran between 30 and 60 fps on those settings. Unigine currently has support for OpenGL 4.0 and DirectX 11 It supports hardware tessellation and Screen Space Ambient Occlusion (SSAO), DirectCompute, and Shader Model 5.0.I've just come across something weird while testing the Far Cry 2 benchmark tonight using my old setting from my GTX 280 which were 1920x1200, 8xAA, Ultra High quality, DX10 mode. It is used as either a game engine or as an engine for VR systems. Unigine is a proprietary cross-platform middleware, developed by Unigine Corp. Lastly, two more benchmarks from the Streetfighter IV and the Unigine Benchmark Engine (DX10) demonstrating the graphic performance of the graphic card. StreetFighter IV (DirectX 9), Unigine Engine (DX10) It also pleasantly surprised us with the 64.52 FPS result for the demanding 1920x1200 with 16xAA: The Gainward GTX 465 GOOD gave a decent performance with 100.14 FPS at 1280x1024. We used a custom time demo and measured the performance of the graphics card for the resolutions of 1280x1024, 1650x10x1200, with 16xAF enabled and all visual settings maxed out. FarCry 2 is the first game to impress us with its DirectX 10 performance, actually providing up to a 20 performance advantage with antialiasing enabled.

The game uses Valve's proprietary Source engine, and is available for Windows and the Xbox 360. All we can leave you with is this, FarCry 2 supports DX10, and in Windows Vista with the latest DX10 video cards from AMD and NVIDIA you will receive higher framerates using DX10 mode. It was developed by Turtle Rock Studios, which was purchased by Valve Corporation during development. Left 4 Dead is a cooperative first-person shooter video game. The game is still very playable at 1920 x 1200 but the Inno3D GTX 470 Hawk is now faster by 10 FPS: We can say their differences come to 6~9 FPS depending the quality settings and the resolution:Įnabling the DX10 shaders and the 'Ultra high quality' settings makes things more difficult for the Gainward GTX 466 GOOD card. The Gainward GTX 465 GOOD performed very well but didn't manage to come close to the Inno3D GTX 470. The 'Far Cry 2' supports both DirectX 9 and DirectX10.
